Pm Kisan Yojana was announced recently by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to provide Rs 6,000 per annum, in three instalments as financial assistance to poor farmers. A circular has been issued by the department to all Maharashtra’s collector offices, Maharashtra’s divisional offices and Maharashtra’s superintendent of district agriculture office to work on both days to collect data on PM-KISAN Yojana.

Pm Kisan Yojana seeking to provide income support to all Small and Marginal landholder farmers’ families with cultivable land holding up to 2 hectares across the country, by way of payment of Rs.6000/- per year, subject to certain exclusions, has been launched on the 24th February 2019. The amount is being credited into the accounts of the beneficiaries held in destination banks, through the accredited bank of Department and sponsoring bank of the State/UT, using PFMS portal.
The first lot of transfer of 15 instalments has already been transferred into the accounts of the beneficiaries. However, it has been reported that some non-beneficiaries have also received the amount in their bank accounts and may want to return this amount to the Government.
